Shamelessly Be Your Authentic Self

Are you shamelessly being your authentic self

Are you presenting your most authentic self to the world?

I remember starting a job when I was 16- I had a fake name and a whole created persona that no one knew about. That’s what started me off in presenting one version of myself in the workplace to my colleagues, with customers and a totally different version, a more authentic version, to my family and friends.

A Dawning Realisation

Maybe you’ve been in a job for a long time and you’re not quite happy, not quite fulfilled- there’s something missing, something not quite right.

Maybe you need to ask yourself; are you actually presenting your authentic self to the world? Or a persona like I was?

It actually took me 20 years to realise that I just needed to be myself and present that real version of myself.

With Authenticity Comes Confidence

I’m so glad I realised that it was this fake persona that was frustrating me- a persona I thought necessary when I was 16 and simply got used to presenting to the world.

The moment I decided to be myself, the confidence returned. All of a sudden I had the weight lifted off my shoulders and it was truly liberating.

The Best Part Of You Is...You!

You can have that liberating feeling too- embrace your sense of self and find the confidence to stick to your own personality in all it’s glory.

The best part about you really is simply you. Crazy, right? I know. It’s revolutionary!

Moving Forward

So have a think about it.

Are you presenting your best, most authentic self to the world?

If not, now is the time to start.

It feels liberating, refreshing and people become way more interested in what you have to say.

You might even find you start enjoying yourself a bit more.
